Unemployment is a fickle mistress. It pulls no punches and tells you no lies. A man see his true self in unemployment. All the things you ever say: "If I had more time..." or "If I wasn't so tired I would..." you realize everything you will ever do will happen in unemployment and if it doesn't you never will. If you can't manage to find a spare hour to run on a treadmill when your biggest activity that day is buying a carton of milk you never will.Me Rockin' out at 11 am on a Tuesday.
If you never start drawing, or playing that guitar when you are unemployed you never will and that's what brings me here. That and a need to demonstrate solidarity for all those unemployed. This blog touches on the finer things in unemployment. The TV On DVD marathons, going to the bathroom with the door open, and obtaining a competitive edge in fantasy sports . This blog will also speak out in defense of the unemployment and all the slights, and common injustices we are faced with in this country so infused with a Protestant work ethic and the spirit of capitalism (I'm looking at you happy hour.)
